Watch Out World!!!!

Watch out world, Jaysek is walking!!!!! Sunday evening Jason and I were sitting on the floor playing with the babies and Jaysek decided he would try out the walking thing. He walked between us for a little bit, then he was off and walking across the room. He was so thrilled that he was walking that he just giggled and laughed the entire time he was walking. It was pretty cute.

Jensyn isn't walking yet, but is so close. She has great balance and will stand on her own for minutes without falling. She has taken a few steps but then falls. I don't think it will be long and she will be running after her brother. What will mommy and daddy do then?!?

Easter Fun

Easter was a lot of fun with the babies this year. On Saturday we took the babies to the Easter Egg Hunt in Wauneta. They had a lot of fun. On Sunday we went to church in Wauneta with Grandpa Bob and Grandma Sharon. It was great catching up with people. Then we had lunch and Grandpa and Grandma's. The food was great and babies had fun playing. Here are Jaysek and Jensyn with the Bunny at the Easter Egg Hunt.
We let the kids grab a few eggs before the hunt started. Beings as how they are still crawling, they might have been ran over by the bigger kids. They seemed to have fun with the eggs.

When we got home from Wauneta on Sunday, we realized the Easter Bunny had been to our house while we were gone. Here they are checking out all the Easter loot.

Here is Daddy putting on a puppet show with the cow and pig puppets the kids got in their Easter Baskets. It was pretty cute!!!

First Birthday Party

We had Jaysek and Jensyn's 1st birthday party on Saturday. Our families braved the snowy, windy conditions to come and celebrate with the babies. Unfortunately, because of the weather outside, Jason got called into work. He missed the party. :( But we took lots of pictures to capture the moments. Here are a few of them.Here is the Cookie Monster cake I made. Not too bad for my first try at decorating.Weston and Jaylea helped blow out the candles.Here is their first piece of cake.Jaysek dug in for handfuls of cake and frosting.He even licked the plate!!!!I think that it is safe to say Jaysek loved the cake!!!!Jensyn was a lot more ladylike. She took small little bites to start out with.Then she decided to just go all hands in!!!Isn't she cute? I think she enjoyed the cake as well.
Aunt Jen, Weston, and Jaylea were a big help in opening presents.

Jensyn did a good job opening presents. She got some fun new toys and some really cute spring/summer clothes.

Jaysek did a good job as well. He also got some fun new toys and some cute clothes. I think we are set for spring and summer!!!

Grandpa Rex and Grandma Kathy got the babies this fun slide. It will be perfect for this summer. Jaylea and Weston had a ball playing on that night.

The twins also got a wagon for their birthday and they love it!!! We can't wait for it to be nice outside so we can use it.

Jaysek and Jensyn are 1 year old!!!!!

Jaysek and Jensyn are 1 year old today!!!! We can hardly believe that it has been a year. This has kind of been an emotional week. We have been thinking back to last year at this time and remembering how sick I was and all the emotion and worry that we had surrounding the babies 10 week early birth. But we look at our little iddy-biddy's now and you would never guess that Jaysek was 3#6oz when he was born and Jensyn was 2#14oz. They are now over 20#!!

They are both beautiful, silly, and very active babies. Their personalities are really starting to shine. Jaysek is on the go all the time. He rarely sits still. He has 3 teeth with one on the way. He walks with his push walker and has started to take a couple of steps on his own. Watch out world when he starts walking!!! He is also a climber. He can climb the stairs, climbs onto stools, climbs through the banister so he can climb the stairs. Did I mention that he likes to climb the stairs. We have a gate to block them off but he still manages to get through. Nothing is safe. He also has the most beautiful blue eyes and a smile and laugh that are contagious!!!

Jensyn is on the go as well. She walks with the walker as well and once in a while she will stand on her own. She has 2 teeth in and working on her 3rd. She loves music and when she hears it she claps and almost dances along. It is very cute. Her personality has really changed over the last couple of months. She has the funniest facial expressions and her laughter makes Jason and I smile. Beyond everything else, she is her Daddy's girl. She has been from day one. The connection they have is awesome to watch.

Here is Jaysek in a suit that Jason wore for his 1 year picture. Linda brought this down a while ago, so I thought we would take some pictures in it. Hopefully soon I will get the picture of Jason in this suit as well. I want to post them side by side so everyone can see how much Jaysek looks like his daddy. It is kind of eiree!!
