Sunday evening we returned home so we could get the stuff I didn't get packed. I'm also going to work a couple days. Don't worry, I have held some pictures back to use while we are home . To keep up with the kids the hospital has a direct line to the NICU so we can talk to the nurse who is taking care of the kids at any time we want. Jaime has called in a couple times today and it sounds like they are doing very well.
The Pictures I've posted today come from a care process called Kangaroo Care. The basics behind it is to have as much skin to skin contact possible and let the baby hear your heartbeat. Studies have shown that it helps preemie's as well as mothers.

No words needed.
Fathers are also encouraged to participate. Words can't explain this experience. I know your thinking the same thing Jaysek is. Hey dad have you ever heard of the thing they call a gym? A little sun wouldn't hurt either.

You're right Jason - no words needed for pic #2. Kudos on your awesome photography. Nothing better than skin-on-skin contact with your babies! I'm glad you got to participate too.
Picture 1 and 2 are the most beautiful pictures Jason!!! Definately agree with Jaysek on you needing a tan!! You definatly have a couple tough little fighters !!! I can't wait to see them !!!!

I think you missed your career as a photographer, Jason! Those pictures are so phenomenal! What a great memory to post in their baby books! I'd never heard of Kangaroo Care but what a great program. I totally agree with the philosophy!
